Gastric Ulcers - Dr Frank Andrews

SeaBuck Complete was the subject of a study at the University of Tennessee, overseen by Dr. Frank Andrews, to see its effects on Equine Gastric Ulcers. The study showed that regular feeding of SeaBuck Complete is very effective in the prevention of ulcers. Nutrients found in the seabuckthorn promote healthy digestion and help to moderate the Ph level of the stomach acid.

Below is a link to a webinar given by Dr. Andrews discussing the causes and treatment of Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS). He mentions SeaBuck Complete several times as an effective equine supplement to prevent horses from getting ulcers.

Super Fruit Nutrition Hits the Equine World

Midvale, Utah – April 22, 2009 – Super Fruit Nutrition has become the source of rapidly growing consumer interest in the health and wellness industry as consumers seek natural alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs. This trend has crossed over into the equine world as Utah –based SeaBuck Equine delivers a super fruit product which has shown to be very effective for horses.

SeaBuck Equine’s flagship product, Seabuck Complete, has been developed using the remarkable nutrient profile of the Seabuckthorn Berry. Only the best fresh-harvested seabuckthorn is used, brought in from the high mountain valleys of the Himalayan Region. The natural brilliant-orange colored nutritional supplement contains more than 190 biologically active nutrients including: Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K and P, and Omega oils 3, 6, 7 and 9 (found in virtually no other fruits). Although these essential nutrients are not uncommon by themselves, the occurrence of all of them in a single natural fruit makes the seabuckthorn berry unique and powerful.

It is documented that early oriental horsemen knew that seabuckthorn made their horses healthier and stronger. They didn’t understand why – they just knew that it worked. Today, we are more sophisticated with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and test environments to help us identify the many components and technical benefits of this super fruit – and the bottom line is that it still works.

From protecting a horse’s delicate gastrointestinal tract to supplying powerful antioxidants, the benefits of this super fruit supplement are many.

SeaBuck Complete is sold on-line, through independent dealers and in select retail stores. For more information, visit www.seabuck.com or call (866) 593-9446.

Increased Stallion Motility - SeaBuck Complete

Over the past 3 years that SeaBuck Equine has been in business, we have had several unofficial trials done to observe the effects of Seabuck Complete on Stallion Motility.

In one case, an offer for $1,000,000 to buy a stallion (for breeding purposes) was turned down by a particular owner. This owner thought the stallion could go for more money. Upon testing the semen of this stallion, results came back showing only 20% motility. You can imagine the disappointment of the stallions owner, especially after passing up the offer for a million dollars. At this point, the owner came across SeaBuck Complete and started feeding it to the stallion. After about 60 days on SeaBuck Complete, without any other changes in eating or supplementation, semen tests came back at 80% motility. Needless to say, the owners disappointment turned to elation.

For a while, it was only speculation as to what nutrients from the seabuckthorn berry could have cause such a dramatic improvement in motility. Recent studies, though, have linked key nutrients (found in the seabuckthorn berry) to healty equine sperm. The attached study by Steven Brinsko, DVM at Texas A&M, validates the effects of these nutrients on equine sperm quality and motility.
